Merritt Farm Alpacas is located about 65 miles southwest of Asheville in the picturesque small town of Otto, North Carolina. This wonderful 10-acre farm is centered around a 200-year-old log cabin that serves as our office, welcome center, and alpaca store. The store offers raw fiber, battings, rovings, yarns and apparel.
Several of Merritt Farm’s breeding goals are superb fiber, correct healthy body conformation and calm temperaments. They strive for consistency in their breeding program with particular attention paid to overall soundness and conformation. The goal is for the crias to play an important part in the alpaca industry for years to come. Based on their award winning herdsires and blue ribbon breeding stock, this farm will continue to produce future show winners.
